Extra Curricular Clubs
Welcome to the school extra curricular clubs section, keeping you updated on the many and varied clubs running at St Gabriel’s across the school year. At St Gabriel’s Primary School, we aim to provide varied school experiences, where pupils can enjoy a range of creative, artistic and sporting activities.
These may change throughout the year to increase the opportunities available but also due to seasonal restrictions.
We are proud of our wide range of clubs on offer delivered by experienced and specialist external coaches and on a voluntary basis by many talented staff members.
A selection of clubs that we are running this year are listed below:
Sporting clubs – Throughout the year we aim to offer a vast range of sporting activities. This may include something your child is already familiar with if it’s part of their PE curriculum or it may be a new sport/ skill they’d like to try out. Through engagement in sport, our pupils will learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, self-discipline, and a sense of initiative.

We are proud to offer a range of sports throughout the year including tag-rugby, gymnastics, fitness, netball, basketball, football, hockey and so much more. Are you inspired by the recent win of the Lioness’ in the Women’s Euros? Or you simply want to try a new skill or sport? Then, come along to our clubs and have fun whilst keeping active in a fun, and encouraging environment.

We also aim to offer a range of other clubs throughout the year that reflect the children’s interests. Children will be able to enjoy activities such as art and design, reading for pleasure, STEM and wellbeing.

Emails will be sent out at the beginning of each term to outline our sports and other clubs on offer. Throughout the year we add more clubs based on the children’s interests! Have a club in mind? Then, we welcome your ideas in our ‘sports suggestion’ box #StgGetsActive or in our ‘clubs suggestion’ box in the school office!

All children are welcome to attend but consent must be provided by completing the reply slip on the letter or by contacting the school office on 01642 315538 in advance of the session starting.
